The goal of our project is to design a better fuel tank sensor. The traditional method for measuring the amount of gasoline in a tank
is by using a float attached to a variable resistor that outputs a voltage corresponding to the amount of gasoline. There are two inherent
problems with this method; the presence of electrical components in a harsh environment can be hazardous and the float method is very innacurate.
